Get to know our facilities and all the services we can provide at several levels, such as rooms, bars, restaurants, swimming pools, gymnasium, health club among others. Royal Orchid has a total capacity of 98 very comfortable rooms: 71 Studios, 25 Junior Suites, 1 Sénior Suite and 1 Penthouse.

Restaurant:
Delight yourself with the flavours we have to offer you at our Restaurant. You can choose accordingly to your preferences between regional and international cuisine. Get to know this wonderful Island’s perfumed and exotic Gastronomy and the local Folclore.

Bar:
Relax and enjoy the entertainment in the evenings on a whole pleasant atmosphere surrounding you at Aloé Bar. Savour a delicious cocktail or a good Madeira Wine and let you be enchanted by the magic Madeira nights.
Happy Hour starts at 6.00 p.m. everyday on the Aloé Bar.


Swimming pool and Solarium:
We have a heated indoor and outdoor freshwater swimming pool with an attendant for your surveillance, privileged direct sea access and solarium, so you can take the best advantage of the calm waters of the Atlantic and enjoy the sun.
Sun beds, umbrellas and fresh water showers are at your disposal.
The average air temperature is 23ºC, the minimum is 17ºC and the maximum, 28ºC. The water temperature is in average 19ºC, minimum 16ºC and maximum 24ºC.

Gymnasium:
Taking care of your health is as important on holidays, as any time of the year.

We have at your disposal, the Nautilus gymnasium with a variety of Fitness classes, sauna, jacuzzi, turkish bath and massages.

Conference Rooms:
At the neighbour Hotel Roca Mar you may find 2 magnificent conference rooms, strategically located above the sea cliff with an unique sea view, benefiting from a fantastic natural light, that brightens up the rooms through its long glass windows. The Crisandra Room has capacity for 30 people and the Falésia Room has capacity for 100 people all seated theater style. Both rooms have air conditioning and there is the possibility of organizing coffee-breaks. 

Tv and Game Room:
We have a TV/Video and billard Room.

Diving Club Atalaia:
Take a Dive in the Atlantic!

The ATALAIA DIVING CENTER is situated adjacent to the underwater natural park of Madeira, directly at the sea front, in the “Lido-Area” of the Hotel Royal Orchid in Caniço de Baixo.
The Atalaia Diving Center offers individual diving – away from mass-tourism- for a quiet relaxed vacation.
With 18 years of experience, Atalaia tells its own tale.
The diving centre area has from 3m up to 30m underwater depths, stretching from the steep cliffs on the coast over underwater canyons to a big cave.
Boat Trips are organised to dive on the Madeira’s underwater Natural Park. Diver’s are set on a Rubber- dinghy boat and day-trips to the east side of the Island are done on board of a typical Madeira wooden-boat.
There are Diving Courses for beginners and update clinics for professionals based on Training and Safety Standards from PADI and CMAS.
Snorkel equipment is available for rent, experimental dives and diving with children it is also possible at Atalaia Diving Centre. The diving center is equipped with 20 complete units for rent; the equipment is mostly new and always maintained in good condition.

Near Hotel Royal Orchid one can find multiple and varied entertainement facilities and not only. At Caniço there is a 24 hour Medical Clinic, an Health Centre, Chemist, Banks, Shops, Supermarkets, Restaurants, Bars and local Pubs, Squash, Bowling, Karaoki, Shopping Centre, Florists, Hairdressers, Post Office, Taxi and Bus station.
The hotel is just 20 minutes drive away from Funchal, the Island Capital, where you can find a Casino, Theatre, Cinema’s, Shopping Centres and Discos.
The 2 existing Golf Courses are just, as well, the same 20 minutes distance, the 18 hole Palheiro Golf Course and the 27 holes Santo da Serra Golf Course.
